Energy Analyst (Junior to mid-level)

Job Overview

We are seeking a junior to mid-level Energy Analyst, who will play a key role in the development and execution of relevant energy consultancy projects at Nexus Analytica. This role requires a motivated individual with a high-level understanding of energy landscape and the responsibility of locating, gathering, and analyzing energy data in a proficient and timely manner, to provide information and analyses to the company and its clients. The position includes carrying out data modeling and staying current on relevant issues and trends within the energy sector.

Responsibilities & Duties

  1. Energy Systems Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret energy systems technical and financial data from various sources for analysis, forecasting and decision support.
  2. Modeling and Forecasting: Develop energy system models to predict energy systems performance in the long, medium, and short term.
  3. Recommendations: Provide recommendations for energy efficiency improvements, renewable energy integration, and sustainability measures.
  4. Reporting: Generate regular and ad-hoc reports based on the project needs and contractual framework.
  5. Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on energy-related regulations and compliance requirements, ensuring the company’s adherence to energy-related laws and standards.
  6. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, data analyst, IT team, and project managers, to implement relevant projects
  7. Market Research: Stay informed about emerging energy technologies, trends, and best practices to continuously improve our implementation strategies.

 

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or in a related field of study. Master’s degree is a plus.
  2. Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
  3. Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards in the energy field.
  4. Computer skills (strong Excel and PowerPoint skills). Experience in Modeling and Coding is a plus.
  5. Attention to detail is essential as they work with large data and numbers and also review materials for accuracy.
  6. Organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and work with various stakeholders.
  7. Research skills to understand the dynamics of the energy market and provide market insights.
  8. Solid interpersonal skills with diplomacy, a win-win mindset, and the ability to build and sustain relationships as the position requires frequent interaction with clients, utility representatives, contractors, and others to perform their duties successfully.
  9. Outstanding oral and written communication skills to manage various stakeholders and generate reports on the energy market as needed.

Contract Length

12 Months full time – Subjected to annual renewal.
