Greenhouse Gas Emissions Management Framework

Nexus Analytica spearheaded a pivotal project aimed at establishing an effective and robust framework for managing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions generated by the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) and its associated entities. Our primary goal was to drive a significant reduction in GHG emissions, thereby contributing to a greener and more sustainable future.

The project’s core objective was to collaborate closely with EGAS and its affiliates’ environmental teams, guiding them in the creation of a comprehensive framework rooted in the Measure, Report, Verify, and Abate methodology. This strategic approach forms a crucial foundation for a well-structured GHG management system. Importantly, this methodology paves the way for a standardized and sector-wide GHG governance system, poised to benefit all companies within the sector in Egypt.

Our engagement encompassed not only the provision of a robust methodology for adoption by EGAS but also a substantial capacity-building component. Through a tailored program, our team was able to empower EGAS staff and identified affiliates with the necessary skills and knowledge to implement the framework effectively. This capacity enhancement serves as an investment in the collective capabilities of the sector, fostering long-term sustainability practices.

Nexus Analytica’s commitment to fostering impactful change through sustainable practices is at the forefront of this collaboration. By partnering with EGAS and its affiliates, we are dedicated to building a resilient foundation for emissions management, aligning with global environmental goals and setting the stage for a greener Egypt.
