Nexus Analytica Showcases NexusGRID™ at the Abidjan’s Digital Energy Day
Nexus Analytica took a pivotal role at the Digital Energy Day in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, underscoring its commitment to driving digital energy innovation in Africa. Organized and funded by the Agence française de développement (AFD) and the European Union (EU), the event served as a key platform for exploring how digitalization can accelerate access to renewable energy across the continent. Dr. Nawal El Boghdady, Co-founder and Chief Technical Officer at Nexus Analytica showcased our latest cutting-edge platform, NexusGRID™; a platform tailored to optimize distributed energy resources (DERs) to unlock the full potential of renewable energy in Africa
The event brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, from start-ups and investors to major public utilities like la Compagnie Ivoirienne d’électricité (Cie) and la Compagnie Énergie Électrique du Togo (CEET) As discussions unfolded, the urgent challenge of electrifying the 670 million people projected to still lack electricity by 2030 was at the forefront. Nexus Analytica’s participation highlighted its role as a strategic partner in this crucial mission, reinforcing its reputation as a leader in digital energy solutions and a key contributor to Africa’s energy transition.
At the heart of NexusGRID™’s transformative impact was its ability to provide utilities with unprecedented insights into the performance of DERs. In several sites, where NexusGRID™ is now being implemented, utilities are now empowered with a new level of control. Through NexusGRID™, these utilities are able to track the performance of renewable energy assets (e.g. PVs, smart meters, and EV chargers) in real-time, forecast future supply & demand as well as optimize resource allocation, which ensures that energy is delivered more efficiently and sustainably.
Nexus Analytica’s presence at the Digital Energy Day further underscored its alignment with international efforts to modernize energy systems in Africa. With a shared vision of sustainable development and enhanced energy access, the company is poised to continue its leadership in the sector. As the event concluded, one message resonated clearly: the future of energy in Africa lies in smart, accessible solutions, and Nexus Analytica is at the forefront of making that future a reality.
